Samurai Trucks is a government licensed (AMVIC) auto dealer/importer. The owner of Samurai Trucks is married to a native of Japan and has been visiting Japan on a yearly basis for over 12 years. Some JDM vehicles were imported for family and friends and soon there were requests for more. Soon the collection of Japanese mini trucks and Japanese mini cars and vans grew rapidly as the number which accumulated made it become more than a hobby. Samurai Trucks is now a full time importer and distributor and will continue to bring quality JDM (Japan Domestic Market) vehicles to Canada. Japan Auto Source will be looking after the importation and sales of all other Japanese vehicles including the much sought after Turbo Diesel vans and SUVs, like the Mitsubishi Delica and Toyota Landcruisers to name a couple. We can also supply all parts for our customers and if local can look after service work on your new Japanese import. Samurai Trucks and Japan Auto Source have several Japanese employees (who have years of experience in the auto and export industry). Our employees live in Japan and attend the auctions in person to inspect the vehicles we are planning to bid on. When we are in Japan, which is up to twice a year or more, we attend the auctions also. Unlike the majority of exporters in Japan, we have someone who actually goes to the auctions and personally inspects the vehicle of interest. We can phone and email our customers pictures of the vehicles they are interested in bidding on right from the auction. Samurai Trucks will advise you whether we recommend bidding and if so, at what price the maximum bid should be. We can also do market research on site and let you know what similar vehicles have sold for at auction. 

We are small enough to be able to offer this kind of personalized service that is unmatched by our competitors. The majority of JDM exporters are exporting large quantities of vehicles and can not attend the auctions in person. Our competitors rely on what the auction inspection sheet says. This is not a reliable indication of a vehicle and is also a very quick visual inspection done by an employee of the auction. At Samurai Trucks we take our clients seriously and want to provide you with the best vehicle we can based on your wishes and budget. We also have close working relationships with dealers in Japan and have access to their trade in vehicles if we can not find what you are looking for at auction. We are here for the long haul and want our customers to feel confident on referring us to friends and family. Samurai Trucks may be a small company but we are able to stand behind our products with confidence.  

Buyer Beware

Many Japanese companies are trying to sell mini trucks to North America. Some are very reputable, many are not. They are sending trucks with bad engines and transmissions. They will show you pictures of one truck and send you a different one. Trucks coming from Northern Japan are very rusty (holes in the bed and frame). You will see advertising for Japanese auction houses. Stay away from these. No one is looking at the trucks. It is all done from a computer. Once you send your money to Japan there is no getting it back.

At Samurai Trucks, we see each truck in person before we purchase it in Japan.  As the popularity of mini trucks continue to grow, you will see more Japanese companies trying to sell trucks that should be used for parts. Be careful, buy from us and know you are getting the best mini trucks available.
